When we found out we were pregnant, one of the things I was most excited about (besides the baby, obviously) was decorating the nursery. The room had previously housed my husband's clothes and was a pink walled, hot mess. The walls were in horrible shape from the previous owner so we knew that they needed to either be replaced with drywall or covered. As I was browsing my home blogs one day, I saw planked walls in House of Smiths and immediately fell in love. To my surprise when I brought it up with my husband he agreed to do them (color me excited). The blogs said that it was a pretty straight forward project (they lied) but man was the end result worth it. The white walls really make the room feel peaceful even during those 3am night feedings and I'm obsessed with the champagne accents (I had been swooning over that Z Gallerie mirror for way too many years...) Hopefully little Miss Kennedy will love her room as much as I do for many years to come. A big shout out to my amazing husband who spent MANY weekends working on the walls, putting up the crown molding and dealing with a crazy, pregnant lady.
